Ethiopianism in the 21st Century: Art, Identity, and the Pan-African Imagination
In conjunction with the Second Addis Adwa Art Biennial, YESEFERSEW Journal is publishing a special issue on "Ethiopianism" — the complex, contested, and generative concept that has shaped pan-African political and cultural imagination since the 19th century.
We invite submissions that engage critically with Ethiopianism as a visual, cultural, and political phenomenon: its historical roots, its contemporary manifestations, its contradictions, and its potential as a framework for thinking about African identity in a globalized world.
