The YESEFERSEW Fine Arts Network successfully conducted a "Briefing on YESEFERSEW Fine Arts Network" at TEFERY MEKONEN School on July 30, 2026, introducing students to its vision, mission, and programs dedicated to advancing Ethiopia's visual arts sector.
The briefing was led by Naizgi Tewelde, Founder and Director of the YESEFERSEW Fine Arts Network, and was attended by 16 students, including 4 graduating students and 12 first-year students.
During the session, students were introduced to the Network's mission of strengthening Ethiopia's visual arts ecosystem through professional development, exhibitions, digital platforms, networking, documentation, research, and educational initiatives. The presentation emphasized the importance of artistic excellence, collaboration, and innovation in building sustainable careers in the visual arts.
The interactive discussion encouraged students to explore the opportunities and responsibilities that come with becoming professional artists. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue on the role of artists in preserving cultural heritage, contributing to society, and shaping Ethiopia's creative future.
